Drake Slams 2024 GRAMMYs After ‘Her Loss’ Loses in Every Category: “This Show Doesn’t Dictate Sh*t in Our World”

Like Nicki Minaj and The Weeknd in the past, rapper Drake is among the modern-day hitmakers of color who have spoken out against the Recording Academy for their alleged lack of transparency in the voting process for determining who wins GRAMMYs.

That trend is one that seems to show no sign of slowing.

Despite the staunch judgment, officials at the award show have not only denied any wrongdoing but have also not shied away from nominating those chart-topping critics for their respective works (assuming they were ever submitted to compete).

Evidence of this came via the GRAMMY’s 66th annual installment on Sunday night (February 4) which saw 21 Savage and Drake (5 and 4 respectively) as the night’s most-nominated Hip-Hop acts thanks to their hit joint album – 2022’s Her Loss.’

However, before the main ceremony even kicked off the hitmaking pair found out in the pre-show they had been shut out of every category they were jointly mentioned in – Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Album.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Drizzy let it be known how he felt about the omission from the winner’s list.

“All you incredible artist remember this show isn’t the facts; it’s just the opinion of a group of people whose names are kept a secret,” he started. “Congrats to anybody winning anything for Hip-Hop but this show doesn’t dictate sh-t in our world.”

Ouch!

At the time of this report reps from the Recording Academy have not responded to the diss.
