Dez Bryant, Former Cowboys Star Praises Saquon Barkley

Eleven weeks into the season, the Giants continue to face criticism and reminders about their choice to cut Saquon Barkley this off-season. Why wouldn’t they, given that Daniel Jones is still disappointing and they are 2-8?

Barkley, meanwhile, delivered another impressive showing in Philadelphia. Now, Big Blue was criticized by the Cowboys‘ former wide receiver Dez Bryant and current standout DE Micah Parsons for their contempt for the Penn State alum.

Following the Eagles’ victory over the Commanders, Dez took to X (previously Twitter) to tag Barkley and make the argument that the Giants ought to own their horrible treatment of their former top rusher and make amends by apologizing.

@saquon the NEW YORK GIANTS owe you an apology.”

Parsons also criticized the Big Blue for undervaluing Saquon and leading everyone to believe he wasn’t worthy of the publicity or the money. Jones’ selection as their starting running back, he noted, speaks much about the organization.

Dez Bryant agrees that trading Saquon Barkley was a mistake

The majority of people concur that the Giants made a grave error by letting Barkley go while continuing to play Daniel Jones. Big Blue and its struggling quarterback were starkly reminded of who really controls the NFC East by his dominating performance against Washington tonight.

The franchise is appropriately informed of the seriousness of their error on a regular basis. Check it out for yourself:

The Giants’ error is constantly brought to mind by seeing Barkley wreck havoc for their divisional opponents each week, but Hard Knocks captured the entire process on film for everyone to witness. John Mara, the owner of the Giants, acknowledged on television that he had dreaded the idea of his best player wearing a Philadelphia jersey.

He was further hurt by GM Joe Schoen’s assurance that the Eagles were not in the running to sign Saquon, which now seems rather flimsy. Even Robert Griffin gave Saquon his roses and shouted out Big Blue one again.
