Charles Barkley Was Slammed by Stephen A. Smith for Being Hypocritical About His $100 Million ESPN Contract

Although Stephen A. Smith was never a professional basketball player, some people consider him to be a reliable source. However, both Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley are past MVPs who are undoubtedly bursting with personality.

The idea that each of those men’s words is equally important irritates people. Although Barkley and Smith have a generally good relationship, they have started to argue about things both inside and outside of the industry.

Barkley made fun of Smith’s appearances on the serialized TV series “Law and Order” and “General Hospital,” and the ESPN star took offense at some of his remarks in a recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show.

Stephen A. Smith responds to Charles Barkley’s comments

Smith was “beginning to be too much,” according to Chuck. In response, Smith stated that Barkley was:

“a flaming hypocrite … do y’all have any idea how many commercials Charles Barkley does every year? Oh by the way, a cat that you work with … in Shaquille O’Neal, can we count the amount of endorsements he has? How often he’s seen everywhere? … Did you say that about him?”

“When you’re making the money that you’re making, that you have been making for years, you can afford to turn down to turn down those opportunities,”  “Don’t bring up my new contract now, that was signed last month. You’ve been making that money for years.”

Furthermore, as Smith mentioned, Barkley has made an effort to increase his screen time. Chuck has been discussing his desire to run for governor of his home state of Alabama for years, despite his claims that he “wants to be on TV less.”

Sometimes I just wonder if these media personalities are friends behind the curtain and make up these feuds just for clicks.
