Over the years, Charles Barkley has offered his share of contentious opinions. But his opinion on Christmas, which was expressed on Thursday, might be the one that annoys and divides people the most.
Different people around the world have different ideas about Christmas and how it should be observed. Some people utilize the day to unwind and spend time with their loved ones. Others concentrate more on the day’s religious significance. And the others simply want to take a brief break from their daily obligations.
The great majority of people who have ever believed in Santa at some point in their lives have one thing in common.
Charles Barkley reveals what he wants for Christmas
Regardless of age or the cost of the gift, everyone enjoys receiving presents from their loved ones. That is, evidently, everyone but Barkley. Barkley talked about how he doesn’t buy presents for his adult friends and family on Thursday’s episode of Inside the NBA.
Barkley actually thinks that grownups shouldn’t be giving each other gifts. He even asserted that if elected president of the United States, he would amend the First Amendment to include this norm. Charles said: “Well, money is always king,”. “You know what, I think it’s amazing that you do that big fella. You know how I feel about Christmas. To see the joy on these kids’ faces, man.
“It’s really about you guys. The young girls and young men. I don’t believe in getting adult stuff. It’s for kids and kids only. Adults should not be getting toys. When I’m President of the United States, that’s going to be the First Amendment.”

Naturally, children should be given priority over adults and deserve the world on Christmas. However, hearing that Barkley doesn’t get any presents for Christmas from the grownups in his life is a little startling.
