‘Baby One More Time’ hitmaker Britney Spears suggests her dedicated fans, affectionately called the #BritneyArmy, shouldn’t expect to see her life story played out on screen any time soon.
At least not in any authorized fashion.
Taking to Instagram Tuesday (November 8), Spears offered a lengthy post that not only included a few slams to her parents but also a random reference to the idea of making a biographical film about her life.
“I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life,” she wrote. “Dude I’m not dead !!!”
And while she didn’t drop any names, the comments conveniently came shortly after ‘Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown shared her interest in playing the Pop princess in a movie.
“I want to play a real person and I think, for me, Britney. [It] would be Britney Spears,” Brown said on a recent appearance on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show.’ “I think her story, first of all, resonates with me.”
As a former child star as well, Millie relayed she could identify with the challenges Britney faced with becoming a star at such a young age.
“Just growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of how when she was younger — I mean, same thing with you,” Brown told Barrymore. “I see the scramble for words [during interviews] and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”
If Britney has her way, Millie will have to just keep dreaming. See the former’s full post addressing the matter below.
