Here’s the scoop – Bill Belichick, the legendary coach, recently had his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, shut down a CBS interview and walk off-set. And guess what? He’s totally defending her for it and trashing CBS for not sticking to his request to keep the interview focused on his book titled “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.”
Bill Belichick doesn’t mess around when it comes to what he shares with 24-year-old Jordon. So when Jordon wasn’t feeling it and decided to walk out over the question of how they met, he had her back 100%. Talk about a power couple move!
For those who aren’t aware of the situation, Bill Belichick appeared on CBS’s “Sunday Morning” program to discuss his new book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football, with Tony Dokoupil.
At one point in the interview, Dokoupil asked Belichick how he met his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson, prompting the latter to step in and shut down the topic.
Hudson has received widespread criticism for her actions, with a report from TMZ stating that she stormed out of the interview and left Dokoupil “spooked.” On Wednesday, Belichick defended Hudson in a statement and criticized CBS for failing to honor his request to keep the interview focused strictly on the book.
Belichick claims he “clearly communicated” his wish to CBS and said the viral clip of Hudson interrupting the interview suggested “a false narrative.”
CBS released their own statement about the fiasco with Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson soon after. The network claims the agreement “was for a wide-ranging interview”, and that the two parties never set “preconditions or limitations” beforehand.
Whether you agree with their decision or not, you have to admire their loyalty to each other. Just goes to show that sometimes you have to do what’s best for you, no matter what anyone else thinks. Now, Bill and CBS are saying different things, who is right, and who’s wrong?
