Arch Manning has been waiting a long time for what will happen next for the Texas Longhorns. The Ohio State Buckeyes officially punched their ticket to the national championship game when they defeated the Texas Longhorns 28–14 in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal.
After losing twice to the Georgia Bulldogs and to Ohio State in the College Football Playoffs, Texas finished the 2024 season with a 13-3 record.
Many people believe that the Longhorns’ game versus the Buckeyes will be quarterback Quinn Ewers’ last game wearing a Texas uniform. Fans emphasized a passing of the torch from Ewers to Manning shortly after the defeat to Ohio State.

Manning is now expected to start at quarterback going into 2025, his junior season with the Longhorns. With nine touchdowns and 939 yards at the end of the season, the former No. 1 overall pick from the class of 2023 completed 67.8% of his pass attempts. In addition, he ran for 108 yards and scored four touchdowns.
