In news that sent shockwaves through the industry over the weekend, MSNBC announced the cancelation of Joy Reid‘s primetime news program ‘ReidOut‘ – a major lineup change that will include many other shake ups revealed in the coming days.

And while many of her faithful viewers have taken to social media in droves to express everything from outrage to lamentation over the network’s decision, there are at least three who are making headlines for the opposite: President Donald Trump, political commentator Megyn Kelly, and actress-model Amber Rose.

Reid has hosted shows on MSNBC (see: ‘ReidOut,’ ‘The Reid Report’ and ‘AM Joy’) for more than a decade, but her time with the network is coming to a close. Shortly following the shocking announcement, Joy took to Blue Sky to bid fans farewell before her final show.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out with kindness and encouragement, both personally and in these social media streets. So very proud of The Reidout team, who are truly family, and all of our supporters & friends,” she said to her 307,000 followers on the platform.

Because she’s been so vocal in her disapproval of the Trump administration over the years, many assume the abrupt decision to axe her show was political. Yet, while the President has not confirmed nor denied his involvement in getting ‘ReidOut’ removed from the air he did issue a statement of elation about MSNBC’s move.

“Lowlife Chairman of “Concast,” Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenged NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid. Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been canned long ago, along with everyone else who works there,” he said on Truth Social on Sunday night (February 23). “This whole corrupt operation is nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democrat Party. They should be forced to pay vast sums of money for the damage they’ve done to our Country. Fake News is an UNPARDONABLE SIN!”

Trump wasn’t the only one pleased with the news of Reid’s exit from MSNBC.

Shortly after the news broke over the weekend, Rose – who was slammed by Joy for her appearance at the Republican National Convention last year – took to Instagram to celebrate.

“The biggest racist on cable news is out,” she said on Instagram (as captured by our friends at TNT). “America is healing.”

Their sentiments were echoed by Megyn Kelly, who took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to ridicule Reid over a string of tweets.

“Remember when Joy Reid laughingly mocked “white women tears” as pathetic and offensive to her? Who’s crying now, Joy? Good riddance to the absolute worst person on television, and shame on NBC for letting it go on this long,” Megyn said to her 3.5 million followers on the platform.

Ouch!

Joy’s final show airs on MSNBC tonight (February 24) at 7pm EST.
