Well, those rumors that Tristan Thompson is paying his baby mama Maralee Nichols $40,000/month in child support for their son can finally be put to rest. You may recall that earlier this year it was reported that the NBA free agent was paying $1.5 million per year in child support payments to each of his baby mamas: Jordan Craig (who shares 6-year-old Prince), Khloé Kardashian (who shares 4-year-old True), and Maralee Nichols (who shares 1-year-old Theo). It turns out, he’s not coughing up that much money - at least - not to Maralee. Following the settlement of their paternity lawsuit, Tristan Thompson will pay Maralee Nichols nearly $10,000 per month in child support for their 1-year-old son, Theo Thompson. According to TMZ, the NBA free agent, will be coughing up $9,500/month in child support payments. Not only that, he covered all of Maralee’s legal fees from the custody battle. While Maralee has sole custody of their son, the couple will decide on a visitation schedule later. Also, Tristan’s name will also appear on Theo’s birth certificate. Maralee gave birth to Theo in December last year, and he made it clear he didn’t want anything to do with the baby, according to Maralee. She accused him of being a deadbeat dad and made claims that he hardly spent any time with his son. She even claimed that he promised to pay her $75,000 to keep quiet about the baby. After he took a paternity test and the results came back in January, Tristan revealed he had fathered a child with Maralee and apologized to his then-girlfriend Khloe, saying, "You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions have certainly not lined up with the way I view you." Womp.
