Colorado standout Travis Hunter is rethinking his decision to declare for the NFL draft in light of Carson Beck‘s enormous rumored NIL stats.
Before announcing his transfer to Miami last week, Beck played four years at Georgia. According to reports, he has made around $10 million in NIL deals in the past year, and the $4 million he is anticipated to receive from the Hurricanes will further increase that amount.
When Hunter discovered how much money Beck had made, he was astounded. On The Travis Hunter Show, Hunter made a joke at the 31:00 mark: “How do you get $10 million? Where’s my $10 million? How are people getting this much money bro? Hold up, let me go test this out,” “Let me go back. I’m going back to college. Yeah, Let me see if I can get $100 million. Let me go see if I can win another Heisman, because $10 million, I ain’t make that in college. Let me go hit the portal.”
Going to the NFL will probably turn out to be the best choice, even if Hunter might make NIL history if he chose to use the transfer portal and remain in college for another season.
With Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department ranking him at No. 3 for the New York Giants, he is expected to be among the first players selected this year.
Hunter may not sign a huge rookie contract, but if he lives up to the hype, he will soon land a deal that is significantly more valuable than what he might obtain in college.
