SZA Readying New Album ‘LANA’ & ‘SOS’ Deluxe for THIS Year

The credits may almost be ready to roll on 2024, but SZA looks set to end the year with not one but two major releases.

The superstar covers the December issue of British Vogue and seizes the moment to confirm that she’s plotting the release of the long-awaited new album ‘LANA’ and the long-promised ‘SOS’ deluxe edition this Autumn.

Having warmed up the masses with songs such as ‘Saturn’ and teased both projects in earnest, there’s been somewhat of a conundrum around what her plans are.

And while it remains to be seen how she’ll pull off such a rollout, she did open up about the process of crafting ‘LANA.’

She told British Vogue:

“I think I am making music from a more beautiful place. From a more possible place versus a more angsty place. I’m not identifying with my brokenness. It’s not my identity. It’s sh*t that happened to me. Yeah, I experienced cruelty. I have to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music is shifting because of that, the lighter I get.”
