Stephen Curry Talks About 1st Kiss With Ayesha

Despite his reputation as a smooth shooter on the NBA court, Stephen Curry is not always a smooth shot off it. One of the best shooters of all time, the Golden State Warriors player is widely recognized for having transformed the sport with his skills behind the arc.

The 36-year-old is proud of his wife, Ayesha, with whom he has two daughters and two sons, in addition to his outstanding skills on the court. After meeting at their Charlotte church when Steph was 15 and Ayesha was 14, the pair has been together ever since, and they have only gotten stronger.

Although the two didn’t begin dating until 2008, Ayesha has disclosed that Steph was the attractive man that all the church girls were smitten with.

Speaking on ‘Dude Perfect’, Steph talked candidly about the event and recalled it with fondness. He said: “Me and my wife Ayesha, on our first date – we went skeet shooting,”

Ayesha obviously found success with it, as the two were married in 2011. Despite having met in 2003, the two didn’t begin dating until 2008, while they were both living in Los Angeles. Steph scooped home the Breakout Athlete of the Year title at the ESPYs when he was in town.

In an interview with People in 2020, Ayesha shared her ideas about the date, which included going to Madame Tussaud’s, Hollywood Boulevard, and grabbing chai tea lattes: “So funny and silly. The absolute opposite of what I thought he was going to be.”

Even though the date went well, it ended awkwardly. When Steph planted their first kiss, Ayesha explained that she wasn’t prepared for it. She said : “He was mid-conversation and came flying at my face like a thief in the night,” . “So I was like, no. Then I thought, ‘Oh, I didn’t know this is what was happening’.”
Notwithstanding the minor setback, the pair quickly adapted to one another and have since embraced the life they have created together.
