San Francisco 49ERS’s Jon Feliciano Announces Retirement

After playing for the San Francisco 49ers for the past two seasons, nine-year NFL veteran Jon Feliciano is concluding his career.

In a long and emotional message on Instagram on Tuesday, the 33-year-old offensive lineman announced his retirement and thanked all of his teams, coaches, and other people who helped shape his career.

He wrote: “Thankful to have played for 4 great organizations,”

After playing for Miami in college, Feliciano was selected by the Oakland Raiders as the 128th overall choice in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played in 48 games throughout his four years with the squad, 13 of which were starts.

The offensive lineman eventually inked a two-year contract worth $million with the Buffalo Bills, where he became a starter, started all 16 games at right guard in 2019, and was selected to his first Pro Bowl.

Feliciano earned a three-year, $17 million agreement in 2021 after winning the Bill’s Ed Block Courage Award for his sportsmanship and tenacity the season after, during which he also made it to the Pro Bowl. In March 2022, he was free.

Shortly after being released from Buffalo, he signed a one-year contract to play with the New York Giants. Feliciano only gave up three sacks while starting 15 games.
