R. Kelly Belts Out Hits Behind Bars, Claims to Have Written 25 Albums in Prison

R. Kelly may be serving time, but that hasn’t stopped him from making music or showcasing his vocals from behind bars.

Details below…

The fallen R&B singer made a shocking appearance on the ‘Inmate Tea with A&P’ podcast where he gave listeners live snippets of his 1998 track ‘When a Woman’s Fed Up’ and his 2003 track ‘Step in the Name of Love’.

Despite serving a 30-year sentence for federal racketeering and sex trafficking, Kelly insisted that his passion for music remains stronger than ever, he said:

“Singing is a beautiful disease that’s uncurable…I’m always singing.”

He is also alleged to have penned a whopping 25 albums while incarcerated.

While Kelly claims he’s “working on getting out,” his legal battles tell a different story. A federal appeals court recently upheld his conviction meaning he may have plenty more time to keep writing behind bars. However, his attorney Jennifer Bonjean remains hopeful stating:

“We will continue to fight for justice and for his freedom.”

Will Kelly release any of his 25 albums? Time will tell. Check out the podcast clip below:
