Michael Jordan, a six-time NBA champion, will be a special contributor to NBC Sports programming this fall, the network said Monday.
In a statement, Jordan said: “I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC,”. “The NBA on NBC was a meaningful part of my career, and I’m excited about being a special contributor to the project. I’m looking forward to seeing you all when the NBA on NBC launches this October.”
The news was made in New York City at NBCUniversal’s Upfront presentation. Rick Cordella, president of NBC Sports, expressed his immense pride in having the basketball star participate in the coverage.
According to Cordella, “Michael’s legacy speaks for itself both on and off the court.”
With the Chicago Bulls, Jordan won six titles and an equal number of NBA Finals MVP honors, making him widely regarded as the greatest NBA player of all time.
