LeBron James Trolls ESPN’s Brian Windhorst

LeBron James is targeting other ESPN personalities besides Stephen A. Smith. The former NBA player made an appearance on Wednesday’s episode of ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show.” Smith is employed by ESPN, the same network with which James has been publicly at odds in recent weeks.

James also attacked Smith’s coworker, Brian Windhorst, with whom he has a history, even though he was specifically targeting Smith during the interview. LeBron said: “I’ve seen Brian Windhorst on one of these shows not too long ago.”

James was interrupted by Pat McAfee, who simply shouted Windhorst’s nickname, “Windy,” and added:  “You guys played together in high school.”

While James rose to national prominence as a teenager before declaring for the 2003 NBA Draft, Windhorst continued to live in Ohio and attended St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School.

James went on:  “This guy who says he’s like my f–king best friend, these guys are just weird.”

Coworkers Tim MacMahon and Tim Bontemps are regular guests on Windhorst’s podcast, “The Hoop Collective.” James admitted:

“He [Windhorst] went on his show and said ‘Don’t let LeBron fool you, he wears No. 23 because of Michael Jordan.’ OK, that’s a fact,”

James went on in a derisive manner: “He signed with Nike because of Michael Jordan,’”  “It’s like, no the f–k I didn’t. I signed with Nike because I got a hell of a signing bonus and they gave me a seven-year, $90 million contract. And I moved my mom out of the hood the day after I signed that contract.”

He went on to say: “And ultimately, my whole thing is like, what do I want to wear off the court? I wanna wear f–king Nikes.”

On Wednesday night, James and the Lakers take on the Indiana Pacers in an attempt to end a three-game losing run. Los Angeles is one-half game behind the Grizzlies in fifth place in the Western Conference. James was out for two weeks due to a groin injury, but he returned on Monday.
