L.A. CAR JACKINGS: Rihanna’s Driver’s Car Allegedly Stolen Outside Her Home + Jhené Aiko’s Car Stolen From Valet During Dinner
Rihanna and Jhené Aiko were targeted by car thieves in Los Angeles over the weekend. Details about the thefts inside… It looks like car thieves are having a field day in Los Angeles, and even celebs like Rihanna and Jhené Aiko aren't immune to their sticky fingers. Carjackings have been a major concern in Los Angeles for several years now. According to the LAPD, carjackings have increased by over 400% since 2019, with over 1,100 reported incidents in 2020 alone. According to TMZ, Rihanna's L.A.-area home was the site of a recent car theft when her driver's ride was stolen right under his nose. Apparently, the driver pulled up to the pregnant singer’s lavish California abode and left his keys in the ignition with the engine running while he ran inside to grab something. But when he returned, his 2012 Audi sedan was nowhere to be seen. Talk about a bad day at work, right? It's still unclear whether the “Work” singer was home at the time of the incident, but we do know that the LAPD is currently investigating the theft. A few days ago, a fan ran into the mom-to-be again while shopping it up in L.A. The R&B songstress went out for dinner with her family at the trendy Tasty Noodle House in L.A. over the weekend (likely celebrating her boo Big Sean’s 35th birthday), and everything seemed like a typical night out. Jhené handed over the keys to her white 2020 Range Rover to the valet and headed inside to enjoy a delicious meal. But, after about 30 minutes, the night took a turn for the worse when the new mom again saw someone driving away in her beloved Range Rover. At first, she assumed the valet staff was moving her car, but it was never returned. The police are investigating, and it turns out that there was an extra key inside the SUV, which made it a piece of cake for the car thief. Damn. So, unfortunately, there are no arrests or signs of Jhené's missing Range Rover at this point. Stay safe, folks! Photo: imagepressagency/Depositphotos
