Karmelo Anthony Judge Receives Police Protection

According to TMZ Sports, the judge who lowered Karmelo Anthony‘s bond this week is receiving more protection after police said that she had received threats after making a crucial ruling in the murder case.

In response to Judge Angela Tucker’s decision on Monday to reduce the bond of the alleged H.S. track meet killer from $1 million to $250,000, the Collin County Sheriff’s Office informed us on Tuesday that it has strengthened security surrounding her.

The FBI and the CCSO’s team of investigators are currently looking into the incident after “court staff and concerned citizens” reported the official’s threatening comments.

The CCSO also informed us that it is searching for anyone who has made the judge’s private and personal information public.

Although the specifics of the remarks made against Tucker are unknown, the judge reportedly made her X page private soon after Monday’s session, most likely as a result of them.

Anthony, a 17-year-old who is accused of stabbing Austin Metcalf after a fight over a seat on April 2, is facing one count of first-degree felony murder. His lawyer told Tucker that a $1 million bond was not required because his client had no prior criminal history.
