Jayden Daniels Explains What Is Special About the Washington Commanders’ Offense

Jayden Daniels‘s rookie season with the Washington Commanders was both spectacular and unpredictable. Last season, he ran for 891 yards and threw for slightly over 3500 yards. The former LSU star won Offensive Rookie of the Year as a result of his spectacular playmaking skills and his collaboration with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.

The 24-year-old quarterback recently revealed some insider knowledge about how he guided the offense to such impressive heights the previous season, all the while, of course, inflating his own stats. He disclosed that pro-style ideas form the foundation of the Kingsbury-led offense. They don’t even need to huddle, which is interesting.

Jayden Daniels gets blunt about the Commanders’ Offense

After every play, Daniels would frequently convene brief, muddled huddles, and that would be sufficient.

On his podcast, Daniels informed Jon Gruden: “I think for us, we got pro-style concepts,”

“We just, we don’t huddle half the time. Or a majority of the time, I would say. Not even half of the time. Sometimes we might huddle. It’s like a little muddle huddle, where I’m like speaking to everybody. Might give a little hand signal here and there. But it’s unique and it fits us.”

It’s obvious that Kingsbury operates in a way that prevents the defense from setting up or making replacements. Therefore, when on the field, Daniels and the rest of the offense must always be in perfect rhythm. They remain unpredictable thanks to this strategy.
