Ex-Maryland Player Avantae Williams Arrested In Connection With Fatal Shooting Of Keshod Harris

Ex-Maryland player Avantae Williams has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Keshod Harris. It’s shocking and sad to hear about such a tragic event involving someone from the sports community.

It’s such a shocking and tragic incident and we hope justice is served for the victim and his family.

DeLand police arrested Williams today for his involvement in the Saturday shooting at McCabe’s Bar that resulted in the d**th of 32-year-old Keshod Harris.

Witnesses told investigators that around 1:30 am, a fistfight broke out between several men inside the bar before a gun was drawn and shooting began. Approximately 40 patrons were inside the bar at the time.

Harris was struck by gunshots multiple times and was transported to a local hospital, where he passed away from injuries.

Williams, 24, is being held without bond.

Williams played four college football seasons at Miami and Maryland and was a top-50 recruit in the Class of 2020.
