Donald Trump continues to make history for all the wrong reasons.

The former President of the United States has become the first with that title to face criminal charges and now the first to pose for a mug shot.

The oft-controversial figure has been formally hit with a dozen charges after allegedly attempting to overturn the Georgia result of the 2020 presidential election – which he lost to Joe Biden.

After much ado, Trump turned himself into Fulton County jail to be booked on 13 charges.

The businessman-turned-politician is facing 13 felony counts in the Georgia case, including racketeering, which is usually used to target organized crime. He’s accused of pressuring state officials to reverse his election loss and setting up an illegitimate slate of electors to undermine and possibly undo the official congressional certification of Biden’s win.

Trump is also battling similar charges related to election tampering in New York and Washington. In total, he has four cases against him.

The 77-year-old, who has declared his intent to run for the Presidency in the 2024 election, has denied all the charges and is using it to fuel his 2024 campaign.

Upon taking the mugshot and the legal formalities being carried out, Trump was released from custody per an already agreed-upon set of conditions, including a $200,000 bond.

Uniquely, the charges do not impede his ability to run for President again.
