Those who thought Diddy‘s legal and personal woes ended after he quickly settled a sexual assault lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend Cassie earlier this month have another thing coming.
According to reports that hit the Web on Tuesday morning (November 28), the music mogul (born Sean Combs) decided to temporarily step down from his role as Chairman of Revolt – the digital cable television network he founded in 2013.
The move comes amid ongoing conversation about the surfacing of two additional lawsuits filed against him stemming from alleged sexual assaults that occurred in the early 90’s – both of which he denied.
“The claims involving alleged misconduct against Mr. Combs from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute are all completely denied and rejected by him. He recognizes this as a money grab. Because of Mr. Combs’ fame and success, he is an easy target for accusers who will falsify the truth, without conscience or consequence, for financial benefit,” a rep said on Combs’ behalf.
The unfavorable press has been a talking point for many over the past few weeks, but few have grabbed more headlines for their responses to the controversial topic than 50 Cent.
A music mogul in his own right, the rapper-actor-TV producer is notorious for also being an online troll and has used his social media platforms to weigh in on Combs’ plight multiple times over the last week.
In response to the Revolt stepdown news, 50 made an offer to take the network off Combs’ hands.
“I buy that from you play boy for the low because you know Cadillac and AT&T gonna pull out,” Cent said Tuesday. “I’ll give you a few dollars for it now! Sell it to me, then we can be friends. I’m serious call my phone.”
The bid to buy Revolt came after a barrage of posts 50’s made about Combs’ legal situation over the last week including a (believed to be) joking announcement that he would produce a tell-all documentary in support of the Bad Boy Records founder’s accusers.
