Diddy and Jay-Z Are Not “Friends” : Alex Spiro

In an interview with NBC News on Monday, Jay-Z’s attorney made a point of separating his client from Sean “Diddy” Combs, claiming that there is “no friendship” between the two following their joint rape of a 13-year-old girl.

In an on-camera interview with NBC News, the rapper’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, stated that “just because they knew each other, know each other, that doesn’t mean anything” and that “there is no friendship or longtime bond here.”

Earlier this month, a civil lawsuit was filed accusing Jay-Z, whose actual name is Shawn Carter, of raping a 13-year-old girl during a New York afterparty for the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

According to the anonymous complainant, who went by Jane Doe, Combs, and Carter alternately raped her in front of an unidentified female celebrity.

Spiro went on to say that Carter is “completely innocent” and that he anticipates being “cleared of this in the coming days.” He reiterated that the Blueprint rapper is not currently associated with Combs, who is currently facing several federal criminal charges, including transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking, and racketeering.

Spiro went on: “This case needs to be dismissed, and Mr. Carter’s name needs to be fully cleared,”

The anonymous accuser told NBC News on December 13 that there might have been contradictions in her account, such as the claim that her father picked her up following the alleged sexual assault, even though he has no memory of doing so.
