Billie Eilish Joins Adele As the Only Women in GRAMMY History to Win Song of the Year Twice

Billie Eilish may already sit in GRAMMY history logs for being the only woman to receive the Big 4 (Best New Artist and Album, Song, and Record of the Year) in one ceremony, but now she’s seeing her name penciled in record books for a new reason.

Defeating Jon Batiste, Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, and SZA, Eilish was presented the Song of the Year trophy for her ‘Barbie‘ hit ‘What Was I Made For?’ by legendary singer-songwriter (and former winner) Lionel Richie.

The victory makes her only the second woman in history to have captured the award more than once following Adele who won in 2012 and 2017.

Billie first collected the coveted trophy in 2020 for her hit ‘Bad Guy.’

As if Sunday’s win was not enough to boast (February 4), the song is also up for an Oscar at this year’s ceremony.
