Atlanta Woman Killed In 'Targeted' Attack, Uber Ride Shot Up After Club Night With Cardi B, Offset & Ne-Yo
Heartbreaking news emerges as a woman is discovered fatally shot in the back of an Uber SUV after she was reportedly ambushed. Authorities in Atlanta suspect that the devastating incident may have been a deliberate target. She was allegedly killed after leaving Allure Gentlemen’s Club, where Cardi B, Offset and Ne-Yo partied. More inside… In a heartbreaking turn of events, the Atlanta Police Department has launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred in a wealthy Atlanta neighborhood in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Tragically, a 30-year-old woman lost her life in this devastating incident. According to local reports, the victim was discovered in the back of a black Cadillac Escalade being used as an Uber on Lindbergh Drive in Buckhead around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police believe the victim may have been targeted. The backseat passenger was subjected to a barrage of gunfire when another car pulled up beside the Escalade at a stop light and unleashed a series of shots. Due to the large amount of shell casings at the scene, there could have been multiple shooters. “This appears to be a targeted incident and as you can see from the number of shell casings, there were multiple shooters but again we don’t have a whole lot to give out right now,” APD's Charles Hampton said. The brazen attack has left the community shaken. “It sounded like a war was going on outside, I was shocked,” said Buckhead resident, Nick Taylor, who lives near the intersection. He said he was startled out of his sleep by the sound of gunshots. “Usually when I hear gunshots you hear it about two seconds, it really quick but this lasted for at least a good 20 seconds,” he explained. Another neighbor echoed Taylor's remarks, adding that the shocking sounds were unusual. “It sounded like about 40 shots. It was two guns, may have been three,” said Maurice Cystrunk. Authorities are actively searching for a light-colored sedan believed to be connected to the incident. Sadly, the victim was just a block away from her home. “Turns out she only lives on the next block so she was less than a block away from home," Buckhead resident Johari Humbles said. "I think they just caught her at the red light. It looks like she was ambushed. There was also a Uber driver and the Uber driver was unscathed." Hmm…the driver didn’t get hit? Interesting. DeKalb County medical examiners confirmed the victim's name as Teisha Brewley (also known as Tavi Badiee), who is described as a popular Guyanese socialite and media influencer.
