ASAP Rocky can breathe a sigh of relief after a Los Angeles jury officially acquitted him in his highly publicized assault trial.

However, with restrictions lifted, it appears some of those who held his fate in their hands weren’t convinced he was innocent.

The Harlem rapper was found not guilty of all charges on Tuesday (February 18) but it wasn’t without controversy.

As reported, charges stemmed from a November 2021 incident in Hollywood where former friend Terrel ‘ASAP Relli’ Ephron alleged that ASAP Rocky fired a semi-automatic firearm at him during a dispute.

Speaking with the reporter Nique at Nite, a juror revealed that while they believed a crime had occurred, the prosecution simply didn’t present enough evidence to convict.

The juror said:

“The feeling was that there was a gun…it was kinda mysterious the way it disappeared and they couldn’t produce it as evidence.”

Despite the rapper dodging a conviction, the juror had a word of advice for Rocky:

“I hope that in the future Mr Mayers (ASAP Rocky) really thinks about his actions before he is upset with somebody. He does have a lot to lose. He’s lucky.”

Another juror echoed those sentiments:

With this chapter now behind him, ASAP’s next move will be one to watch.
