October’s Tunnel ‘Fits we can’t stop thinking about

This month, the looks we were drawn to weren’t as over-the-top and flashy as those of the previous couple of months, but they are good inspiration for what you and I can wear the next time we feel like trying something new. We’ve got good picks from Kahleah Copper, Devin Booker, Malik Monk, and more.
Keep scrolling to see two of our favorite moments from the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, a lot of inspiring monochromatic looks, and two good uses of a wallet chain. Be sure to come back next month for what we hope are good Thanksgiving Day ‘fits around the National Football League.

Now Angel Reese’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show ensemble isn’t a Tunnel Fit exactly. Still, considering that the Chicago Sky forward prepared for the runway by watching tape of previous shows and working with a runway coach, she took to the stage wearing a white lace bra, panties, and a garter belt adorned with pink flower appliques. She carried a floral and an organza to maximize her dramatic strut.

Kysre Gondrezick, one of Athletes Unlimited’s latest additions, brought the drama off the Victoria’s Secret stage in archival Thierry Mugler, specifically the 1993 spring collection, Tom Ford shoes, and a Christian Siriano hat that would make Breakfast at Tiffany’s Holly Golightly jealous.
Kahleah Copper

Phoenix Mercury guard Kahleah Copper has a fun take on a school uniform. The plaid pants and the loafers are easy to imitate with pieces from your own closet, and the cardigan felt like a fun DIY project, adding not just the heart appliques but perhaps even elbow patches.
Michelle Alozie
Houston Dash soccer player Michelle Alozie’s blazer is made perfect by hanging what appears to be a wallet chain from her striped blazer’s buttons, and that also feels like a fun idea for a homemade project.
Devin Booker

Now, this is how you achieve a monochromatic look without it being boring. Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker demonstrates that wearing all one color can be visually interesting when you play with texture. His suede jacket, pants, and matching crossbody are ideal for the chillier temperatures.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Of course, Oklahoma City Thunder Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander can pull off a black and white ‘fit without looking like he should be carrying a tray of champagne at a cocktail party. The leather jacket gives his white button-down and black slacks a polished feel, while the black beanie is just cool.
Malik Monk

Sacramento Kings shooting guard Malik Monk is another example of how monochromatic dressing doesn’t have to be boring. The sheen of his jeans picks up on the lettering of his sweater, which complements the silver in his chain.
Victor Wembanyama

San Antonio Spurs forward Victor Wembanyama showed up ready to work in all black. His ‘fit is elevated thanks to his leopard Louis Vuitton LV Yeti Slip-on shoe. You too can own a pair for a mere $1,550.
Darren Waller
Surprise, surprise, we have another monochromatic outfit with a wallet chain. This time it’s on Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller (second slide above), who is wearing denim on denim. The denim jacket’s monk collar and elongated pockets immediately draw the eye in.
