Every year on June 23, Puerto Rico comes alive with Noche de San Juan, one of the island’s most vibrant celebrations honoring John the Baptist, the island’s patron saint. The 10-day festival brings in 500,000 people each year for dance, food, art, and culture.

This year’s festival will take place between June 20 and 29, with the Grand Parade as the highlight on the last Saturday, where spectators are swept up in the marching bands, costumed dance troupes, elaborate themed floats, and Afro-Honduran punta and Yankunu performances.

Also beginning in June is the Festival di Caracalla. Opera plays a significant part in Italy’s history, and tickets for opera at the Baths of Caracalla are an absolute must this summer. The Borough Market by the London Bridge is London’s premier food destination with more than 100 stalls selling artisan cheeses, global street food, and other worthwhile finds.
