White House Website Features Pro-ICE Arcade Game And Others Promoting Trump Agenda [Op-Ed]

OK, that’s it: who’s running the White House website? What middle-aged, white, neckbearded MAGA stooge, who was deeply unpopular in high school, but still managed to peak socially at that age, is sitting at a desk with his plumber’s crack exposed while he tries to come up with new ways to make the Trump administration look cool, but is only able to find ways to make it look like an administration of maladjusted incel dorks who miss being young until they remember that hen they were young, they were still a bunch of maladjusted incel dorks?
I ask because, on Thursday, the White House’s website unveiled not one, not two, not three, not four, but five retro-style arcade games that promote President Donald Trump’s policies, including his anti-immigrant agenda, which the site celebrates with games that allow players to serve as digital ICE agents and capture “illegals,” or “build that wall” Tetris-style.
I mean, this administration is really out here giving us 8-bit white supremacy.
From the Associated Press:
“Build the Wall” is a “Tetris” knockoff that transforms the classic game into an effort to “Protect the border from the coming horde.” In “Rio Run,” which resembles the mobile favorite “Snake,” an icon resembling Trump runs around gathering potential border crossers.
In “Supply Line,” which looks like a condensed version of the arcade game “Tapper,” food moves along an assembly line, and you must reject items that don’t meet “Make America Healthy Again” standards.
Two of the games take place over the skies of the nation’s capital. In “Flappy Bill,” an eagle carries a bill across the National Mall. In “Trump Savings Tycoon,” your goal is to collect money flying through the air to “Fill your kids’ Trump Accounts,” the administration savings plan that offers $1,000 to every child born during Trump’s term.
Rio Run is probably the most offensive of the games — you know — if you’d even bother getting offended by racists whose capacity for cleverness and creativity hasn’t evolved since they were drawing stick figures in middle school to illustrate having relations with their classmates’ moms. In it, players control an immigration agent who captures brown people, whose clothes instantly turn into what appear to be orange jumpsuits as they join the Snake-style chain gang behind their captor.
It can’t be emphasized enough that there was a time when pretty much all adults in the U.S. would’ve been embarrassed by these antics. If Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives, and everyone in between could agree on nothing else, we could agree that neither the president of the United States nor his White House should be engaging in anything this juvenile and unbecoming of the office.
But that was pre-Trump. The orangey-white nationalist, barely literate buffoon got in office by validating white bigotry and, even more so, white victimhood, and the same white conservatives who thought Barack Obama’s tan suit was a major political scandal revealed that they never really had any standards when it came to presidential decorum or respect for the highest office in the land.
Now, the MAGA era has been normalized, and antics like these aren’t even shocking anymore. And this couldn’t have possibly happened at a worse time than during the social media age.
Remember when Drake dropped new music this year, and the White House decided to get in on the fanfare by taking an image of the cover art for Drake’s album Iceman and adding a diamond-studded MAGA chain to the image, which only resulted in a comment section full of people dragging the president up and down the internet with AI images of their own?
Remember when the White House posted an AI-generated image of Democratic Party leaders Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries in sombreros, similar to the AI-generated video of Schumer and Jeffries in sombreros that Trump posted last year, and that post got the same response, with most commenters mocking the president and his lame-ass minions?
This is how far we’ve fallen, good people: the president is a 24-hour propaganda and AI slop dispenser, and the White House website has become his own personal media outlet.
What a sad little country we’ve become, run by a sad little man.
Sad.
