Vote Safe Website Is A Scheme Todd Set Up. Don’t Fall For It [Op-Ed]

AI crusader and MAGA ally Elon Musk is currently being accused of funding a fake voter registration website that is designed to steal and sell people’s data to third-party businesses, and, well — yeah, that sounds about right.
While scrolling through your newsfeeds, you may have seen ads for Vote Safe, a site claiming to “provide you with the information you need to vote with confidence.” According to MeidasTouch Network, VoteSafe.org is a website published by America PAC, a pro-Trump Super PAC financed primarily by Musk — who notably isn’t even from here — to transfer massive funding to Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. Now the site claims to help voters navigate the election process ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm election, but it’s actually a data-mining operation that isn’t registering people to vote at all.
From MeidasTouch:
America PAC has spent over $180,000 in marketing just this week to push voters to its fake registration site.
The site is designed to resemble the actual voter registration site Vote.org, which provides legitimate voter registration and information services, and is run by a registered nonpartisan, non-profit organization. Vote.org does not track any personal information, and only requires users to submit their email and mailing address.
Actually, according to Forbes, America PAC has spent more than $8 million to help Republicans maintain their House and Senate majorities after the midterms, including $2.6 million spent on the Texas Senate race alone. (Earlier this month, we reported that the PAC spent more than $800,000 on key Senate Races. Apparently, that was a low estimate.)
So far, neither Musk nor anyone else at America PAC has commented on the grifting allegations regarding the Vote Safe website, but boooooy are the independent media sources and content creators across social media on Musk’s musky ass, telling people not to fall for the alleged scam.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time one of Musk’s websites was used to mislead and possibly disenfranchise voters. In 2024, Grok, his AI chatbot found on the platform formerly known as Twitter, was caught falsely telling users that the deadline had already passed for former Vice President Kamala Harris to appear on the ballot in several states.
Then there’s the irony of Musk himself claiming that same year that there were “a lot of fake voters” in Oregon, which, according to the Oregonian, was likely based on him and other MAGA morons not knowing how Oregon’s voter rolls work.
Either way, this all falls under the category of “every allegation is a confession” when it comes to MAGA and all of its supporters. If they can’t win, they cheat, and then accuse the other side of the same.
Vote accordingly in November, good people.
