The New Hotels Worth Planning A Trip Around This July

Some trips start with a cheap flight, while others start with a hotel so compelling that the destination follows. This month’s most interesting new and newly bookable stays have that pull, with properties that make a case for the trip through setting, service, design, food, or access. The list spans different budgets and travel styles, from high-touch luxury to a more accessible city stay, but the goal remains the same: to spotlight hotels that give travelers something real to plan around.

These are places with a clear point of view, whether that comes through a historic estate, a private villa setup, a conservation-minded safari camp, a design-heavy urban address, or a smart location near the center of the action. For dreamers, that may mean a suite worth saving for or a stay worth bookmarking long before dates are set. And for planners, it means confirmed dates, room counts, rates, amenities, and booking details that help turn a saved tab into an actual itinerary.

The Nest At Glenapp Castle – Ayrshire, Scotland

Behind the walls of Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire, Scotland, a former tearoom has become The Nest, a one-bedroom Garden Cottage Suite scheduled to open on July 1, 2026. The 60-square-meter retreat sits inside the estate’s 1830s walled garden and gives Glenapp Castle, a 21-bedroom Relais & Châteaux property, a more private cottage-style stay. The suite has a king bed or two twin beds, a separate living room with a wood-burning stove, garden and woodland views, a secluded sauna, and an ice plunge tub. It can sleep two adults and two children or young adults.

The stay speaks to the privacy-and-recovery side of luxury travel. HospitalityNet reported that designer Helen Smith worked on the suite, which also uses low-impact heating technology from NIBE. Published rates with breakfast included run from £667.25 to £1,055 (approximately $882 to $1,395 at current exchange rates). Dining connects guests back to the castle, where Executive Chef Peter Howarth leads menus featuring local and estate-grown ingredients.

King’s Point At Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa – Bermuda

On Bermuda’s west end, the historic Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa has launched King’s Point, a new private villa experience available for bookings beginning July 1. The five-bedroom waterfront home sits on a 4.5-acre peninsula once connected to Bermudian ocean explorer Teddy Tucker. The restored 4,000-square-foot residence offers guests a full-home villa arrangement with five bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor entertaining areas, a private dock, a hot tub, an outdoor shower, a barbecue area, and access to four private beaches.

The experience suits bridal parties taking over the space for a wedding weekend, multi-generational trips with relatives spread across a single residence, milestone birthdays, girls’ trips, guys’ trips, and other group escapes that need privacy with hotel-like support. King’s Point includes access to Cambridge Beaches’ resort amenities, along with a daily chef-prepared breakfast at the residence, a dedicated butler, private concierge service, housekeeping, evening turndown, a stocked pantry and bar, tennis, water rentals, pool access, dining, and five 50-minute spa treatments per stay, shared between guests. The property lists rates by inquiry and states that residence rates include accommodations, taxes, and service fees, with a four-night minimum stay and a three-night deposit.

JW Marriott Mount Kenya Rhino Reserve Safari Camp – Laikipia, Kenya

Between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Ranges, the JW Marriott Mount Kenya Rhino Reserve Safari Camp brings a new luxury tented stay to Solio Game Reserve in Laikipia. The camp is accepting stays beginning in July 2026 and places guests inside one of Kenya’s long-established private rhino sanctuaries. That location gives the opening conversation weight, with Solio known for rhino protection and sightings of white rhinos and endangered black rhinos. The camp’s accommodations page lists 18 luxury tents starting from 134 square meters, each with a plunge pool, plus a larger two-bedroom suite for families or small groups.

The nightly rate typically includes the room, meals, snacks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, entertainment, kids’ activities, taxes, service fees, and gratuities. Rates place the camp firmly in ultra-luxury safari territory, with recent public snapshots running from about $3,440 to $4,446 per night, depending on travel dates and booking conditions. The rate reflects an all-inclusive setup, with dining, drinks, activities, taxes, service fees, and gratuities typically included in the stay. On-site amenities include Mavuno for all-day dining, JW Garden, Ember Bar and Lounge, Spa by JW, a fitness studio, a pool, and complimentary airstrip transfers from Nanyuki.

PUBLIC West Hollywood – Los Angeles, California

At 8300 Sunset Boulevard, the former Standard Hotel site carries enough Los Angeles hotel history to make its next chapter worth watching. Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC West Hollywood was initially expected to open on July 15, but WEHOonline later reported that the first regular availability would begin September 16. That timing puts the hotel into fall planning, with 137 rooms, a pool, three food-and-beverage venues, and a 16,000-square-foot rooftop park.

The project still gives West Hollywood a major design-led arrival on the Sunset Strip. The culinary team includes Shelley Armistead, Nicky Pickup, Chef Miles Shorey, Lucy Cogswell-Stewart, and beverage lead Jess Arndt, with dining centered on Louis, the Pool Bar, and the Pool Deck. Rates appear dynamic, with WEHOonline reporting normal September rates starting at $564.

citizenM Washington, D.C. – Georgetown, Washington, D.C.

Near the C&O Canal and Georgetown Waterfront Park, citizenM Washington, D.C. Georgetown opened in June 2026 at 3401 K Street NW and enters the July booking calendar as a fresh summer stay. The hotel gives Georgetown a compact, design-forward option close to Georgetown University, waterfront paths, restaurants, shops, and central Washington, D.C. connections. It also marks the first citizenM property to open under Marriott Bonvoy following Marriott’s acquisition of citizenM.

The 230-room hotel follows citizenM’s familiar model with XL beds, blackout shades, rain showers, smart room controls, art-filled living rooms, a gym, and canteenM for dining and drinks. Marriott’s opening announcement credited longtime architecture partner Concrete Amsterdam and highlighted local artwork, including a mural by D.C.-based artist J.D. Deardourff. Marriott’s opening offer gives guests up to 20 percent off stays of two nights or longer from June 1 through September 30, 2026.
