Karoline Leavitt Is On Her Way To Fox News. Surprised, Anyone?

Welp, it appears that former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has pulled the reverse-Uno card on the Fox News-to-Trump administration pipeline. Instead of joining the absurdly long list of pundits who parlayed their platforms on America’s favorite right-wing propaganda network into top positions at the propaganda-reliant White House, Leavitt is going from parroting President Donald Trump’s lies before the White House press pool to, presumably, parroting those same lies as a Fox News contributor.

According to NBC News, Fox announced Monday that Leavitt, who resigned from her job as press secretary in August — claiming she was stepping down to care for her new baby — has signed on as an on-air contributor, who will provide the network with her “firsthand experience” in, hell, I don’t know, verbally wiping the president’s butt as he shits all over democracy and the rule of law, or whatever.

“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement. “We look forward to her providing our audience with authentic and sharp insight across all Fox News Media platforms.”

She will start her new role “providing commentary and analysis” on Nov. 1, Fox said.

As previously reported, when Leavitt announced her departure from the administration two months ago, Trump claimed she would still be serving him as “one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections.” And now the GOP’s prospects of retaining its supermajority in Congress are looking even more bleak than they did then, which is a feat in itself, so the president better hope his former press secretary is influential enough to sway some Fox News viewers to the ballot box on Election Day, which is two days after she starts her new job.

I don’t see why she wouldn’t be, of course. I mean, where is Fox News going to find another white blonde woman who only has to pretend to know things, amirite?
