Despite her highly publicized health woes, media maven Wendy Williams‘ name soared to trending status on social media the week of Diddy‘s arrest and eventual indictment as her longtime fans felt there was no one better to weigh in on the circumstances.
Now, she’s finally broken her silence on the matter.
With the legal drama of Diddy (born Sean Combs) going from bad to worse as he faces federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking and over 120 lawsuits stemming from allegations of sexual abuse, there are few major media personalities and outlets who aren’t talking about the embattled mogul.
Even in her current state, Williams found the strength to join the chorus.
“You know how I feel about that? It is about time,” she told Daily Mail. “To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled … it was just horrific.”
Wendy has made headlines over the years for openly criticizing the rapper-producer-turned music and fashion mogul, but feels vindicated that she is finally getting recognition for calling him out.
“But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible,” she continued. “‘What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people ‘Wendy you called it,’ including some people from my family who have said the same.“
And while the 60-year-old “Queen of All Media” will satiate many with her long-awaited weigh-in on the hot topic, they shouldn’t expect to hear more from her on the matter via an official radio, podcast, or TV platform any time soon.
She told Daily Mail she is “doing good” amid her ongoing battle with aphasia and other health concerns, but did not specify any plans to return to screens.
