Antonio Brown, a former wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is still one of the most divisive personalities in NFL history. Even after his abrupt departure from the league, Brown, who is renowned for his skill on the field and his behavior off it, has consistently managed to maintain his prominence.

Many have questioned whether Brown’s unpredictable conduct, despite his Hall of Fame-worthy career, is a result of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a disorder associated with repeated head trauma in football.

By starting “CTESPN,” a sports entertainment company that blends humor, merchandise, and CTE awareness, Brown has jumped into the discussion.

Brown was asked to list the NFL players he thinks have CTE-like behavior during an appearance on the podcast One Night with Steiny. He selected Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, as his first choice in his characteristically candid manner.

About Hill’s moniker, Brown stated: “No. 1 has gotta be Cheetah,”  “Tyreek Hill could’ve won four Super Bowls, but he had 10 kids in Miami and made no playoffs. That’s gotta be trauma.”

After that, Brown ranked Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Jets, as the number two pick. Brown clarified: “I think Aaron Rodgers got a little CTE. He’s a good player, but anytime you got trauma that’s outside the game, that’s just something you’re dealing with,”

He went on to say that a quarterback must have a positive outlook, suggesting that Rodgers might be impacted by outside pressures.

“I feel like you gotta play football with a good spirit, a happy energy, because you’re creating your reality… You gotta have blinders where you have happy energy that you want to put and see your goals.”

Although Brown’s remarks continue to garner media attention, his football credentials are indisputable. His statistics undoubtedly support his eligibility for admission into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2027.
