Where will George Pickens end up next season? That’s the question on many analysts’ lips. In 2025, there are more expectations than ever before for the Las Vegas Raiders. The squad is going through a significant transition with Pete Carroll taking over as head coach and Tom Brady now making important choices for the team.
The Raiders have already made a number of roster changes, and now there is discussion around speculations that they could acquire George Pickens. However, not everyone agrees with the concept.
The Raiders’ analyst is adamantly against the George Pickens trade
Mitchell Renz, an insider for the Raiders, has strongly advised against chasing the wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pickens immediately stoked trade rumors when he shared a picture of himself with Tom Brady on Instagram Stories.
However, Renz thinks that Las Vegas would make a terrible mistake by bringing in Pickens.
Pickens is more trouble than he’s worth, says Renz. He said, “The Raiders should NOT be interested in trading for the biggest diva’me’ guy in the NFL,” pointing to the receiver’s inconsistent play and attitude on the field. He even went so far as to negatively compare Pickens to Davante Adams, highlighting the possibility that his presence would sabotage the Raiders’ momentum under Brady’s direction.
Even though Pickens hasn’t made a trade request in public, his future in Pittsburgh is still up in the air. Pickens’ position on the squad has changed since the Steelers signed DK Metcalf, a two-time Pro Bowler.
