A police offer is said to have been accepted by the teenage suspect who is suspected of fatally stabbing another adolescent during a track meet at a high school in Texas.
Frisco Centennial High School student-athlete Karmelo Anthony, 17, has been charged with murder after he is accused of fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf, a 17-year-old junior at Memorial High School, on Wednesday morning.
A seating argument allegedly led to Anthony stabbing Metcalf. Initially, a school resource officer showed up on the scene. According to the officer, Anthony claimed that Metcalf “put his hands on” him and that he “was protecting himself.”
According to the arrest report that FOX 4 was able to obtain, Anthony reportedly admitted to the resource officer that he had done it.
Karmelo Anthony’s Dad claims innocence
The father of Karmelo Anthony, a juvenile murder suspect, told the New York Post on Thursday that Austin Metcalf and his pals were responsible for the tragic argument that broke out in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday. Although Andrew expressed his grief over the entire situation, he insisted that his son is “a good kid.”
“He was not the aggressor.” “He was not the one who started it.”
Karmelo is still in jail after being charged with one first-degree felony count of murder. In the meantime, a GoFundMe that the Metcalfs started in Austin’s memory has amassed $191,000.
