El Popular reported that Gerard Pique‘s mom – Montserrat Bernabeu – knew about her son’s affair and allegedly helped him hide it from Shakira.
“It’s all because when the relationship between Piqué and Clara Chia began, they took refuge in a house that Piqué’s parents have in Cabrils, Spain,” journalist Laura Fa claimed.
Fa went on to note that Bernabéu “was an accomplice in hiding this new relationship.”
A witness close to the family also alleged that there was a physical fight between Shakira and Pique’s mom.
“Bernabeu punched Shakira in the face in front of Gerard and his children,” the witness claimed.
However, it is unconfirmed at this time as neither party has spoken out about it as of reporting.
Shakira and her ex-husband had been together 11 years before ending their relationship.
