Nikki Taylor Says Both Teyana Taylor And Iman Shumpert Benefitted From The Million Dollar Divorce Settlement

You know Nikki Taylor, right? Teyana Taylor’s mom and manager. Well, she recently spilled the tea on Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s divorce settlement, and let’s just say it’s pretty dang interesting.

According to Nikki, both Teyana and Iman are benefiting from the million-dollar settlement and that the narrative that it’s only Teyana who walked away with all their properties and assets is false.

According to Nikki, the divorce settlement was finalized in July 2024 and she’s surprised it’s now making waves in the news.

In a statement shared by The Breakfast Club co-host Loren LoRosa, Nikki Taylor questioned how details from a sealed case had suddenly become public.

“It’s awful strange that the case is sealed, from a divorce that was finalized in July 1, 2024; but all of this information as to what she allegedly got is public this week?” Taylor said in a statement.

“What about the other party received? Let’s be crystal clear, BOTH parties walked with the properties, vehicles and businesses that they obtained separately,” she added.

On Thursday, not long after her initial comments on the divorce were shared, Taylor left a comment under a recent Shade Room post about her comments, clarifying her original statement.

“I see some of my comment was left out, causing it to be misconstrued. I posted a comment elsewhere. However I was extremely clear in my comment. Somehow people are still not clear that the story is BS.,” she wrote.

She continued: “Bottom line is, this case is sealed. Therefore, information like this can only be put out there from either of the parties involved. Weirdly, this information just surfaced out of nowhere almost a year later after the divorce has been finalized since July 1, 2024. The bottom line is, the only thing awarded to both parties was what they paid for out of their own pockets. She walked with what she paid for on her own and he walked with what he paid for. That’s it, that’s all. I hope this is clear now. End of report.”

So, what’s the lesson here? Divorce isn’t always a bad thing, y’all. Sometimes it can be the kick in the butt you need to go after your dreams and secure your future. And hey, if you can do it with a fat settlement in your pocket, why not? In Teyana and Shumpert’s case, it’s a win-win according to Nikki Taylor.
