Fans of the Dallas Mavericks are still upset that the team traded away their star player, Luka Doncic. Now, some of them are venting their frustration on the streets because, according to TMZ Sports, a billboard demanding the dismissal of general manager Nico Harrison is circulating the city ahead of Wednesday’s eagerly awaited game against the Lakers.
According to Dallas Billboards and Southwest Mobile Advertising, an unknown group of donors contacted them to commission the sign against the Adelson/Dumont family, the team owners and front desk employees.
The organization informed the businesses that they are: “All for firing Nico and selling the team as a means of asking for accountability for the worst trade in the history of basketball.”
Billboard read out loud: “Fire Nico. Sell the team.”
This type of sign has been seen wandering the streets outside the American Airlines Center before… one of them also surfaced shortly after the historic deal.
Despite their dissatisfaction with Harrison and the team’s ownership, many supporters continue to swarm the arena to watch their former idol play. The squad declared that they will be distributing shirts with the Slovenian phrase “Hvala za vse,” which translates to “Thanks for everything.”
It’s unclear if fans will express their disapproval of the management during the game, but it’s likely to be an event not to be missed!
