Due to his poor conditioning and slight weight, Luka Doncic has been facing criticism for the past few years. He brought the criticism with him to Los Angeles after being traded to the Lakers. It is generally accepted that when Nico Harrison consistently failed to satisfy their conditioning requirements, his front office and he were unwilling to grant him his super-max extension.
Others appear to be solely focused on Luka’s weight, but Dorian Finney-Smith feels that if being 270 pounds can make someone as brilliant as Luka, then he must also be 270.
Dorian Finney-Smith claims he wishes he was as good as Luka Doncic
Luka is the person that people want him to be, he added. Nobody would have anything to say, though if the issue was that he was a fantastic player and fit for games. Luka played in 70 games during the regular season last year, averaging 37.5 minutes per game. After that, he led his squad to the NBA Finals.
He wouldn’t be able to play so extensive minutes over a long season if he were as overweight and unfit as his detractors claim. According to Finney-Smith: “If I’m putting up them type of numbers, maybe I need to be 270 [lbs].”

Luka is one of the league’s greatest players, and his new teammate thinks there’s no reason to target him as long as his output doesn’t suffer.
He used to play with Finney-Smith as well. In 2018, the two performed together in Dallas.
