It’s a family reunion! ‘106 & Park’ hosts Rosci Diaz, Terrence J, and AJ Calloway stopped by ‘The Breakfast Club’ this morning (May 8). They dished on celebrating 25 years of ‘106 & Park’, the show’s impact, plus more.

During their interview on ‘The Breakfast Club’, Terrence gave a taste of what to expect at the BET Awards 2025 with their celebration of the 25th anniversary of ‘106 & Park’. He states:

‘It’s gonna be special…it’s gonna be beautiful’.

Even with Diaz chiming in with how it’s going to honor the show. She says:

‘It’s gonna feel like the show all over again’.

They touch on the show’s impact on the culture and music. The ‘Money Talks’ host says:

“106 & Park was the global hub for all of this. When they started, if you needed to see the #1 video in the world…you had to go to BET’s 106 & Park. The new artist…106 & Park. The breaking stories…106 & Park. Sports, fashion, technology, everything…106 & Park was the hub for it.’

The ‘We Got Time Today’ host added:

“When it comes to all of the hosts together, we just know that we’re part of this amazing family that was able to be such an influence on the culture to this day.”

Calloway also gave his successors props on being able to take over after Free and himself. He says:

“Honestly, these two people right here held it down for a longer time and with a lot of pressure on them. So, to be able to do that and to hold it down with style and grace…gotta take my hat off to them.”

The former ‘Entertainment Tonight’ correspondent gave her predecessor some love too. She expresses:

“Free has always been a girl’s girl and she reached out to me cause she knew…and she held my hand through a lot of stuff that I went through. Kudos to Free because she really really really looked out for all the girls.”

When asked if a ‘106 & Park’ reboot would be a success if brought back, the Calloway Entertainment Group CEO believes that it would be. He states:

“It’s crazy cause the TV execs have arguments about it all the time. If a video show would still do well in a world where there’s YouTube, and I honestly believe that it would.”

It’s great to see the ‘106 & Park’ hosts all come together, and can’t wait to see the celebration of the show come June 9 at the BET Awards 2025.
